A simple cup made by Masaki Tomabechi, a Banko ware artist active in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.
Masaki Tomabechi creates contemporary pottery based on white, black, and turquoise. His works, which are influenced by Indian jewelry, are characterized by a technique called ``kanyu,'' which involves pouring ink into the cracks created by the difference in shrinkage rates between glaze and clay. It expresses the "spider web" pattern seen in turquoise.
A classic shape that makes it easy to drink drinks. This cup has a simple design that makes it stand out.
