Product Details.
Made in Japan sneakers produced in Kurume, where the rubber industry has long flourished. The name "SHOES LIKE POTTERY" comes from the fact that they are fired in a kiln like pottery. The rubber tape wrapped around the sole is individually stamped with a rope pattern, creating a different look for each piece, just like pottery. The joints of the elastic are fastened with a blue logo mark that resembles sealing wax, giving the design a more distinctive look.

BLACK
The loom invented by Englishman Edmund Cartwright in 1785 was imported to Japan in 1866, and many domestic power looms were made thereafter. Black Monochrome fabric is made from KASURI DUCK, which was woven on a small loom made 100 years ago.

What is the vulcanization method?
Vulcanizing is another name for vulcanization. It is a very rare manufacturing method that can only be produced in a few factories in Japan. The greatest feature of this method is that the shoes are placed in a kiln called a vulcanizer (where sulfur mixed with rubber is chemically reacted) in the final process. Shoes produced by this method have the advantages of supple and soft soles, strong and unbreakable soles, and beautiful silhouettes. Above all, the most attractive feature is the elaborate and beautiful "quality of workmanship" that can only be produced by skilled handwork.
