The latest embodiment of this evolution is the “WAVE PROPHECY RING MOC SETSUMASA KOBAYASHI.”

Setsumasa Kobayashi founded GENERAL RESEARCH in 1994 and has been a central figure in revitalizing Japan’s outdoor and fashion culture through MOUNTAIN RESEARCH since the 2000s. In 2007, the “INFINITY MOC” he created in collaboration with Mizuno was a revolutionary product that incorporated the structural philosophy of a performance brand into the traditional moccasin silhouette. The “WAVE PROPHECY MOC” is a model that directly inherits that DNA, yet is not merely a reissue but has been reconstructed as “today’s Mizuno sports style,” and this piece is positioned as the culmination of that series.
