■Product Details.
The "ONDA" is a square-shaped model remodeled based on 1960s American style.

Featuring a simple plastic frame equipped with sturdy seven-point hinges, the frame is hand-assembled at four points using traditional rivets—known as "single diamonds"—to join the plastic and metal components. The nose pads are made of hypoallergenic titanium. Designed with nose arms, these frames offer exceptional comfort and a premium finish that sets them apart from vintage or restored models.

Rather than maintaining the traditional front-to-side step found in vintage frames, we have deliberately eliminated it. After assembling the frame, we take the extra step of “surface matching” (tsura-awase)—a process of carefully polishing the joints—to create a sense of cohesion and a seamless, organic luster when viewed from an angle.

The temple arms are crafted using a traditional technique known as "shooting." Skilled artisans in Sabae hand-embed a metal core into each pair, which helps ensure proper fit and prevents warping over time.

・Dimming function
Featuring photochromic lenses—one of the brand’s iconic features—that change color in response to UV light. In environments without UV light, the lenses appear as a greenish-gray; when exposed to UV light, they darken to a dark gray that blocks sunlight.
