■Product Details.
This flight jacket-style cardigan is a co-branded collaboration between BATONER—a factory brand launched in 2013 by Okuyama Meriyasu, a long-established knitwear manufacturer in Yamagata—and COMME des GARCONS HOMME.

・Materials and Fabrics
This piece features a knit from BATONER’s Signature Series, one of the brand’s signature lines. It is a mid-gauge ribbed knit carefully crafted over time using SOLID WOOL, a proprietary wool yarn developed in-house.Solid Wool is a combed wool yarn made primarily from Merino wool. While coarse-knit sweaters typically use carded wool yarn with a pronounced fuzzy texture, we have deliberately chosen combed wool to create a rib-knit sweater with crisp, well-defined ribs.

・Design
A flight jacket-style cardigan with a relaxed silhouette and just the right amount of ease. This piece incorporates details inspired by flight jackets, such as the collar shape and the zippered pocket on the left sleeve. It features distinctive raglan-style shoulder construction and decreases in the knit pattern.By knitting the fabric diagonally from the neckline, the design creates a three-dimensional pattern not found in set-in sleeves. This technique also ensures a full range of motion at the shoulders, resulting in a silhouette with a unique yet natural shoulder line. The cardigan features patch pockets on both sides of the body.
