This dress is based on the work Ranch House at Evening (1928) by Charles Webster Hawthorne (American, 1872-1930).

Materials and Fabrics
This delicate twill fabric is woven with a warp of No. 80 cotton and a weft of No. 60 rayon/silk single yarn blend. The fine yarns are sweetly woven to create a soft and fluffy texture. The roughness of cotton is crossed with the fall of rayon and the feel of silk to create a fabric that is both pleasing to the eye and to the skin.

Design
Short-sleeved open-collar shirt in a relaxed, laid-back silhouette. The distinctive long-pointed collar follows the feel of old clothes, while the deep slit under the armpit line, which can be opened and closed with a button, adds a modern element. It has a large chest pocket, slightly longer sleeve length to the elbow, and an overall relaxed silhouette.
