Two different types of AURALEE's standard shirts.

Autumn/winter items are arriving one after another from AURALEE, and among them there are two types of shirts with similar names.

WASHED FINX TWILL SHIRT and WASHED FINX TWILL "BIG" SHIRT.

Whether or not the name has "BIG" in it. And what are the differences in construction?
I'd like to take a closer look and compare it with the photos.

①The collar is different.

The shirt on the left with the BIG collar is a little smaller, while the shirt without the BIG collar is a little larger.

Also, the side without the BIG has a plastic part called a collar stay on the back of the collar.
It is easy to put on and take off, but if you leave it on the collar will stretch out and give you a more formal look.

②The button pitch is different.

The shirt with the BIG button has a narrower button pitch, while the shirt without the BIG button has a slightly wider button pitch.
It's a small difference, but the BIG feels a little more casual.

3) The pockets are different.

The shirt with the BIG logo has a large pocket on the left chest, while the shirt without the BIG logo has no pocket.

④The sleeves are different.

The side with the BIG logo has one cuff button, while the side without the BIG logo has two buttons.

Also, if you look closely, you will see that the tucks are taken differently.
The BIG version has two wide tucks, while the non-BIG version has three small tucks.
The BIG model has a simple design, while the models without the BIG model feel like they are well-made.

⑤The yoke is constructed differently.

The yoke that connects the shoulder and back panels is also constructed differently.
The side with the BIG mark is wider, while the side without the BIG mark is narrower to fit the body.
Another feature of the version without the BIG size is that it is designed with a split yoke to reduce tension in the fabric.

⑥The silhouette is different

Below are the actual measurements for the two shirts.

The size with the "BIG" design has slightly larger shoulders, but actually, there isn't much difference in the overall silhouette.

⑦Prices are different

WASHED FINX TWILL SHIRT: ¥33,000- (tax included)
WASHED FINX TWILL BIG SHIRT: ¥30,800- (tax included)

The shirt without the BIG logo is priced slightly higher.

I often get asked, "Why is BIG so expensive even though it seems to use a lot more fabric?"
In fact, the BIG version is not actually bigger, but rather the version without the BIG mark is slightly more elaborately made.
