Single flower vase #turquoise
■Product Details.
A wall-hanging vase made by Masaki Tomabechi, a Banko ware artist active in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.
It has an elongated shape and is designed to be hung on a wall. It's a wonderful vase that doesn't take up too much space and adds color to a wall that I thought looked a little lonely.
Masaki Tomabechi creates contemporary pottery based on white, black, and turquoise. Influenced by Indian jewelry, his works are characterized by a technique called ``kanyu,'' which involves pouring ink into the cracks created by the difference in shrinkage rates between glaze and clay. It expresses the "spider web" pattern seen in turquoise.
