This cashmere knitwear is delicately dyed one piece at a time by the eyes and hands of skilled artisans.The factory, located at the foot of the Tateyama Range in the Northern Alps, is situated in a region known for heavy snowfall—as exemplified by the World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go. The knits are gently immersed in the abundant meltwater flowing from this area to undergo a delicate and gentle brushing process.

Conventional napping processes use combs to lift the surface fibers, which not only damages the fibers but also causes approximately 20% of the raw material to fall out and be wasted.At ATON, we use fine-count cashmere that has undergone strict quality control by Japanese spinning manufacturers. To make the most of this precious raw material, we process it in pristine water and knit it using the seamless “whole-garment” method, which minimizes material loss.

A V-neck knit with a relaxed silhouette and just the right amount of ease. The fit and neckline opening have been meticulously adjusted to ensure a clean look even when layered over a shirt.
